About This Event
The Floyd Living Traditions Festival is an annual celebration of Appalachian and Floyd County mountain culture that showcases traditional music, craft demonstrations, storytelling, dance, workshops, artisan vendors, and family activities. Presented by the Floyd Center for the Arts in partnership with the Floyd Country Store’s Handmade Music School, the festival takes place on the Floyd Center for the Arts campus and in its historic barn in Floyd, Virginia. It is notable for bringing together local practitioners and audiences to preserve and share living traditions through performances, hands-on demonstrations, and community exhibitions.
